Lucy's Friends Necklace Review

Last week, I won a scrabble tile necklace from Lucy's Friends at The Giveaway Diva. When the sponsor, Sharon got to know that I'm from Malaysia, she decided to add more fun to this exciting event by offering me 3 more pendants for free! I was so excited, and then I thought of giving the 3 necklaces to my siblings to double the fun. Sharing certainly is fun!

I chose a pink rose necklace and my two sister chose the pink flower and blue butterfly respectively (Image not available anymore). These pendants are so adorable and the images are very clear. I love my pink rose necklace and my two sisters love their's as well. All pendants come with a fancy Silk Zipper Gift bag. Review Buku : E-Buku Karangan 2009

Adakah anda menghadapi masalah menulis karangan BM?

Piggy Paint Nail Polish : Review

When I was “Googling” for non-toxic fingernail polish, I found the Piggy Paint website. The cute pink piggy logo at the homepage quickly attracted my attention. From their website, I learned that Piggy Paint is a non-toxic fingernail polish specially invented for little girls. They have a collection of beautiful, gorgeous nail polish available on their website that is sold separately in bottles and in gift packs (3 polish OR 2 polish, 1 polish remover in a pack).

My Review:

The awesome Girls Rule! Gift Pack.
After receiving my Girls Rule! Gift Pack, I asked my sister whether they’d like to paint their nails together with me and they agreed. There are two bottles of nail polish (Forever Fancy & Girls Rule) and one nail polish remover in this gift pack. The retail price of this package is $27.50.

My little sister opening the cover of Forever Fancy Nail Polish.
When she opened the cover meticulously, it really surprised us that it didn’t smell at all. Wow! I really hated the strange chemical odour that is present in a nail polish I used before. The bad smell nearly made me puked up that I stopped using nail polish for good. It’s true! I’ve not paint my nails for 3 years! With Piggy Paint, I'm now willing to give my nails a new colour coating. The three of us painted Forever Fancy on our fingernails.

Look, isn't it beautiful!
Honestly, I was amazed by Piggy Paint. It does not emit strange, pungent smell and is made from natural ingredients. And I absolutely love the bright colours that makes me feel confident and happy all-day-long. My two sisters went on painting their toenails with Girls Rule Nail Polish. They absolutely love the shimmering, light purplish colour on their toenails!

Melanie, the founder of Piggy Paint tells us the story behind the invention of the brand:
One day while we were painting nails over a foam plate, my daughter dropped a glob of her solvent-based polish onto the plate. Shortly after, the paint began to bubble and “ate” through the plate. I looked in dismay at the hole in the plate and decided to test all of her other “kid” polishes on the foam. Within minutes, ALL of the solvent-based polishes began to bubble and eventually left big holes in the plate. From that day on, I decided that any flammable substance that could eat through foam was unacceptable for my children’s fingernails, which would inevitably end up in their mouths. My quest was on, and Piggy Paint™ was born.

Now, you may ask :
Why is Piggy Paint™ Nail Polish the safe nail polish choice for children?
Well, Piggy Paint™ is specially formulated from God’s natural ingredients and dries to a hard, durable finish and there are no toxic chemicals .It’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone. It is made from water, water-miscible acrylic and polyurethane film formers and thickeners (well below 100 parts per million), glycol ethers.

~Non-toxic
~Odorless
~Water-based formula
~Hypoallergenic
~Fun, vibrant colors
~Dries to a hard, durable finish

Piggy Paint™ Nail Polish Remover is a remover that works quickly on all polishes, especially Piggy Paint™ Nail Polish. It is non-toxic, safe to use, and contains none of the solvents that could offend your nose or harm our atmosphere. Aloe Vera and Vitamin E are added to supplement the natural oils that protect your little one’s nails and cuticles. It is non-toxic, odorless, hypoallergenic, biodegradable, and acetone-free. The best thing is, it is made from natural ingredients, such as Methyl alcohol, butyl diglycol, aloe vera extract and Vitamin E.

After knowing more about Piggy Paint’s goodness, would you like to buy some for your little girl?

Story to live by...

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only seethe world, I will marry you.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Fringe Lore Earrings : Review

I received Little Strange Things Earrings - Silver Fishbones - Curiosities and Oddities ($36.00) and Mechanical Earrings - Steampunk inspired ($36.00) from Julie at Fringe Lore. They are very beautiful and absolutely gorgeous, and totally unique.

Little Strange Things Earrings - Silver Fishbones - Curiosities and Oddities ($36.00)

I totally LOVE this pair. It's so funky and special in its own way, and it certainly looks nice on my ear lobes! Little Strange Things...You can't even feel the weight!

They are strung on sterling silver earwires and despite all the little bits, they will not get stuck in your hair. Approximately 2 inches in length from top of earwires to bottom of bits.

Mechanical Earrings - Steampunk inspired ($36.00)

Bold and beautiful. Suitable for a lady who's love steampunk inspired jewelries.

These earrings are created from vintage wrist watch plates that are intricate and beautifully patina'ed. They have a great steampunk-inspired style and are suspended from oxidized sterling silver ear wires. The earrings are slightly more than 2" in length from the top of the earwires to the bottom of the plates. The plates themselves are 1" in diameter.

Marmar.etsy.com : Review and Interview

I have been "keeping an eye" on my mailbox for some time. Finally! I got something today. =D

A parcel by Mark Poulin...It's a good thing he used stamps because I'm a philatelist!

And guess what I have here? A super-cute Aquarians are Original in the little box!

Yipee! I’m so delighted to receive the Aquarians are Original necklace from Mark at marmar.etsy.com because I’m a genuine January baby. Actually, I found out that Mark was born in the month of January too and that my birthday is only a day before his!

Aquarians are Original Necklace ($32.00)

This lovely necklace is made from sterling silver and measuring an inch tall. This necklace ships on a 16 inch cord with a sterling clasp. The design is really simple and nice and I really LOVE it. See, it looks so sweet!

Mark has a huge collection of cute necklaces in his shop and to be frank, I really wanted to have each one of them. Looking at these lovelies makes me recall the daydreams I had had when I was a little girl. Let me tell you a secret…I dreamt that I could fly like Superman by tying a towel to my T-shirt. Shhh…Don’t tell anyone. ><

My interview with Mark:

1. Hi, please introduce and tell me something special about yourself.
My name is Mark Poulin, I live in Oakland California right over the bridge from San Francisco. I love to draw and create cartoon characters. All my designs spring to life from my sketch books. In a lot of ways I am more of a designer than a jeweler, my designs use the simplest form of metalwork to get my drawings into a 3-D world.

2. How was your shop started?
Before jewelry I worked with clay. My pieces where always breaking from earthquakes or wild parties. I decided to take a metal class in hopes of making more durable goods. A friend talked me into taking a jewelry class and I was hooked from the start.

3. Who/What inspires you?
I am inspired by pop culture and low brow art. I love comics, zines, graffiti and fashion.

4. What handmade possession do you most cherish?
Right now, the hat my Mom knitted for my 4 year old.

Orbit girl ($ 26.00)

5. Which items in your shop receive most compliments from customers worldwide?
Orbit Girl seems to appeal to a wide variety of people. You just look at her and your imagination starts to make it's own story about her.

6. Which item from your shop do you like the most? Why?

I'm obsessed with this little monkey right now. He's brand new, kind of off center and clumsy and so cute I can't stand it.

7. How do you promote your Etsy shop?
I have a link from web page, but so far have done well with word of mouth.

8. Make a wish!
Oh I so want to have the time to make t-shirts and stationary and more time for drawing and painting !!

*Do you sell your creations on other websites/places other than Etsy?

I Must Do My Revisions!

The climate is changing rapidly nowadays. It's not a good sign. Many people are sick. And hundreds are tortured by the Swine Flu in the whole world. The world has changed. Maybe one day, the Earth will explode. Who knows? Everything is possible.

My mid-year exam is approaching. And yet, I'm still checking my mail everyday. What's wrong with me? I'm seriously addicted, that's why. But I don't have much time left. I still have piles of books to read. So, maybe I'll stop blogging for some time. But don't worry...

I'll be BACK!!!
